Membership Information

WELCOME TO SOUTHERN CAPE JUNIOR GOLF

POINTS OF INTEREST:

1. All junior events will be based on age on tee and must be under the age of 19.

2. Players (boys) that are 12 years old (up to 12 years old and 364 days) and younger will play from the ladies tees.

PLAYER AND PARENT REGISTRATION

Each junior member will be required to complete and sign a Player Registration form as well as a Code of Conduct and Ethics form. Each parent will be required to complete a Parent and Spectator Code of Conduct form.

(Please note the clause requiring parents to remain at a distance of not less than 30m from all players during a tournament, to refrain from any communication with the players or giving any rulings, the only exception is children 9 years and younger playing in the C division where by arrangement the parents may provide assistance with the carrying of the golf bag and scoring only. If children want to play for a provincial team they cannot be assisted by a parent.)

In addition should any junior member be selected to represent this division they will be required to sign a Code of Conduct for Representative Players.

JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS

No joining fee is payable and the cost of Southern Cape Order of Merit Tournaments will be R170, which will not include food. Should certain courses require any additional amounts to be paid you will be advised when registration for that tournament opens.

Format of tournaments will be Full Medal for A (handicap 0-9) and B (Handicap 10-18) divisions while the C division will play individual stable ford and mark their score only (no points) up to a maximum of 3 over and then ring their score of more than 3 over. The C division stableford competition for players 13 years old and older will be combined with the U13age group’s stableford competition.

The A and B divisions in the U13 age group will play a stableford competition in addition to the medal competition, however the A and B divisions in this age group that play medal will compete as a division together.
